What we do isn’t so very different from what a lot of other brand design consultancies do, but the way that we do it, is.
Different because we try to avoid the usual jargon (not easy sometimes), we try not to jump blindly onto the latest bandwagon* and more importantly we seek to understand you, your business and why your customers buy from you (or, indeed, why they’re not buying from you!) As one of our clients recently said ”Barber Jackson took us through a process** rather than giving us a solution”. In other words, it’s not simply about having a smart logo.

We take a fairly scientific approach to brand consultancy. Not rocket science, of course, but it does take a good deal of expertise, experience and a deep understanding of the meaning and importance of brand strategy. Once we’ve understood the whys and where fors of your business, we can begin to make some meaningful recommendations..

*Take social media. Yes it’s important, for some very important, but for many businesses it’s not going to add anything to the bottom line and ultimately it’s just another channel to get your message across. Whether it is appropriate is going to depend on your products and sector. In a Utopian world of unlimited budgets you would have every tool available, just in case. In reality, you have to make choices, so the key is to look at all the tools in the toolbox and decide which ones you need to do the job.
